First American Scientific Corp Signs
Distribution Agreement With EnergyCabin at Globe 2006 Environmental Conference
Tuesday April 4, 9:00 am ET
VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 4, 2006 -- From the Globe 2006 Environmental
Conference held in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Mr. Cal Kantonen, Chairman of First
American Scientific Corp. (OTC BB:FASC.OB - News) is pleased to announce the
signing of a distribution agreement to market and service the
"EnergyCabin," a renewable biomass and solar heating and cooling
system.
First American Scientific Corp is now an Official Distributor of
the EnergyCabin in North America, South America, Australia and Asia. The
EnergyCabin is a self contained heating system fueled by a combination of wood
pellets and a unique solar thermal system. Over 10,000 heating systems in
buildings such as hotels, hospitals, and offices, as well as residential
complexes throughout Europe are successfully using the EnergyCabin boilers as a
clean, efficient central heating and hot water system fueled by recycled
materials and solar energy. This combination has proven 50% cheaper than
traditional heating methods, is amazingly 92% efficient, and requires little
maintenance. FASC is proud to represent and distribute the EnergyCabin in its
ever-expanding market.
According to Brian Nichols, "We believe the EnergyCabin will
become a very successful part of our business as it can stand alone, or be
combined with our KDS Micronex to either create heat energy from waste wood or
become an integral part of our biomass power plant operations. We will begin
immediately integrating the EnergyCabin into our marketing program in North
America and Asia, and will also be introducing it in South America next week as
we forge new relationships in Brazil."
To start on its marketing program, FASC has already installed a
fully operational EnergyCabin at FASC's demonstration site in Vancouver, BC.
This will be followed by offering the EnergyCabin to commercial and residential
premise owners in rural BC, where natural gas is not available or is too
expensive. We will also be developing a market to supply inexpensively fueled
air-conditioning units in warmer climates as the EnergyCabin has also been
proven a viable method for cooling in tropical climates.
According to the "Wood Pellet Association of Canada"
current wood pellet production in Canada is expected to increase by 5 times to
3,000,000 tons annually by the year 2010, the majority of which will be shipped
overseas. Both FASC and EnergyCabin believe that there is a significant market
to be tapped in North America for wood pellet fueled heating and cooling
systems, and, when in short supply, we can supply wood pellets directly from
our joint venture operations in Malaysia or possibly from Brazil. We can also
see excellent synergies opening up through our licensees in Korea and Japan.
EnergyCabin is manufactures in Austria by EnergyCabin
Produktions-und Vertriebs-Gmb. Please see this website for more details
