First American Scientific Corp. Announces Delivery of First KDS

            Micronex to Yokohama, Japan

            VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 17, 2006 -- Brian Nichols,

            President of First American Scientific Corporation (OTC BB:FASC.OB -

            News), is pleased to announce that JP Steelplantech Co. Ltd., our

            exclusive licensee in Japan, has purchased the first KDS Micronex

            System Model JS-6 pursuant to its License Agreement with FASC. The

            equipment, along with FASC's installation crew, arrived in Yokohama

            this week, and we are now preparing for its installation and

            commissioning.

 

            JP Steelplantech Co. Ltd. is a well-established engineering and

            equipment manufacturing company owned by four major Japanese heavy

            industry companies: Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), Hitachi Zosen

            (HITZ), JFE Engineering (JFE) and Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI).

            Japan is one of three countries in Asia so far to license the KDS

            technology. The others are Malaysia, where two KDS systems are now

            in operation, and Korea, where we have received deposits on another
