First American Scientific Corp announces funding agreement for project to install new KDS3000 system at Flakeboard Company Limited in Canada.
Vancouver, BC: Mr. C. Kantonen, Chairman of FASC is pleased to announce that Flakeboard Company Limited has joined the AGES consortium of companies that will be contributing, along with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), Hydro Quebec Capitech, and others to the first KDS3000-W installation in Canada.
According to the AGES news released Friday "As part of this project, Flakeboard Company Limited (FLC) has made a major commitment to provide all infrastructure and equipment that will deliver wet wood waste to the KDS and to convey and store the end product. By redirecting Flakeboard's wood waste through the newly installed KDS3000-W machine, we will create a clean green fuel to be used as a substitute fuel for their industrial dryers which are currently fired by natural gas and fuel oil... In addition to space and power at their mill, the FCL investment includes a reclaimer, silo, conveyors, a major area electric upgrade, DCS modifications and site engineering"
Located in St. Stephens, new Brunswick, Flakeboard Company Ltd is a world-class producer of particleboard, medium density fibreboard (MDF) and FIBREX® high density thin MDF. Along with unparalleled capabilities for a variety of finishing options, Flakeboard offers the most diverse product range in the industry.
