NEWS RELEASE - October 8, 2004

First American Scientific Corp (FASC – OTCBB) completes installation of KDS Micronex equipment in Utah and Poland

Brian Nichols, President of First American Scientific Corp. (FASC) is pleased to announce the final delivery and installation of two KDS systems, one to Atlas Mining Corp. in Utah and one to Firma Codogni in Poland.

In September 2004, Atlas Mining Company (ALMI) commenced the processing of halloysite clay at its Dragon mine in Utah using the KDS Micronex System supplied by First American Scientific Corp. Reports from ALMI are that the equipment is functioning exceptionally well and that the end product, “is the finest I’ve ever seen” according to Bill Jacobson, ALMI’s President.

Also commissioned in September 2004 was a KDS system delivered to Firma Codogni in Poland, which is being used to process chromite for industrial use. The facility will also serve as a demonstration site to showcase the equipment to other Eastern European countries. According to MGM Engineering, our local representatives, “the installation will be a showpiece to boost future sales in the region”

“These two installations of our equipment in the soft minerals sector mark the beginning of the commercialization of our equipment” states Brian Nichols, President of FASC. “Two more plants, one in Malaysia for processing palm tree waste, and one in Princeton for processing zeolite are currently under construction. Once all four plants are fully operational, we will have reached a turning point in gaining the commercial acceptance of our innovative technology”.

First American Scientific Corp. is the owner of a unique patented disintegration system, the KDS Micronex System, which is capable of reducing and drying various grades of mineral rock such as halloysite clay, zeolite, gypsum and limestone into a fine dry powder suitable for this and numerous other industrial applications. Other applications for the KDS include converting biomass and agri-waste, including animal waste, sewage, and forestry waste into a fine dry combustible fuel which can be burned in specialized dust burners to create BTU’s and energy.
