News Release First American Scientific Corp ( FASC-OTC, BB)
November 25, 2002

FASC announces sale of 3 KDS systems to a Vancouver Island waste management and recycling firm

Mr. Brian Nichols, President of First American Scientific Corp. ("FASC") is pleased to announce an agreement has been signed with Vancouver Island Recycling Centres Ltd and its affiliated companies, ("the VIRC group") to purchase all plant and equipment, including 2 KDS Model 150 machines, previously located in Bakersfield, California. The KDS equipment will be refurbished and moved to their recycling operations on Vancouver Island. A third Model 150 machine, previously used for demonstration purposes, is also being purchased and will be installed at their recycling depot In Richmond, B.C., Canada.

Recently, FASC and VIRC have been perfecting a system for the processing of previously unmanageable waste products, specifically recycled glass and other household waste products. Through a series of trials that included equipment refinements, sufficient throughput volumes were achieved to confirm the commercial viability of the process. As a result, the VIRC group signed agreements with FASC for the purchase of three used KDS machines. These units will be upgraded to incorporate current design standards and will be installed at the VIRC group's recycling facilities in British Columbia, Canada.

The VIRC group is particularly interested in the KDS System's ability to reduce re-cycled glass into fine powders as small as 20 microns. No color sorting or undue handling is required. The VIRC group has identified a significant unfulfilled demand to utilize recycled glass as a strengthener in asphalt, concrete, fiberglass, roof tiles and ceramics. Micronized glass has a high melting point, is harder than conventional materials, has high tensile strength, is non-toxic, non-combustible, and has low thermal and electrical conductivity, making it an ideal, low cost substitute for conventional fillers. VIRC's first installation is expected to be operational early in the new year. The agreement also grants the VIRC group the exclusive right to utilize the KDS system for micronizing glass in the Province of British Columbia for an 18-month period. Several other installations are under consideration.
