First American Scientific Corp (FASC – OTCBB) announces issue of US Patent # 7,481,385 “Recovery of Fuel and Clay from Biomass” for its KDS Micronex biomass processing system

Vancouver, Canada: Mr. C. L. Kantonen, Chairman of FASC is pleased to announce that we received confirmation today that US patent # 7,481,385 was issued to First American Scientific Corp on January 27, 2009 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
This patent represents years of work and commitment by our management and engineering staff in adapting our KDS Micronex Equipment to successfully recapture the energy locked in biomass by converting it to a clean, dry combustible fuel.

According to Brian Nichols, “This is the moment we have been waiting for. Now that we have patent protection in place, we will be moving forward with our strategic alliances with several green fuel producers. Over the past two years, we have been working with several companies in the Canada, USA, Malaysia, Japan and Brazil who will be utilizing our equipment to create energy from waste biomass. Details of these projects will be announced when they become available.

According to Noel Wambeck, P.Eng, consulting engineer and a partner in FASC-Malaysia, the KDS Micronex system plays an integral role in the efficient preparation of biomass into green fuel. We have searched the world over for viable alternatives, but can find nothing that can compare to the KDS equipment for efficiency and cost. The potential in our market is exceptional and the patent approval confirms its unparalleled characteristics.

The KDS “Kinetic Disintegration System” creates a clean dry powder from all forms of waste biomass in an efficient, cost effective manner without the use of any supplemental fuel. In addition, the end product is EPA certified pathogen free suitable for use as a Class A fertilizer, or a clean burning fuel which can be used in both domestic or industrial burners. With licensed operations in North America, South America, Asia and Europe, First American Scientific Corp is now ready to revolutionize the alternative green energy business.
