First American Scientific Corp (FASC - OTCBB) announces plans to change its name to more clearly represent its new business model

LAS VEGAS, June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Mr. C.L.(Cal) Kantonen CGA Chairman of FASC announces plans to change its name to Alternative Green Technologies Group Inc.
To launch the program, the company will first poll its shareholders through an e-mail campaign seeking suggestions, opinions and recommendations regarding the choice of a new name. Details of this will be formalized and announced shortly. Please e-mail your comments to newname@fasc.net.

Once we reach consensus on a suitable new name, we will change the trading symbol and CUSIP number. Each shareholder of record will be asked to return his share certificate to the transfer agent and will be issued a new "green" certificate bearing our new symbol and name.

According to Brian Nichols, "we would like all our shareholders to participate in the process of choosing a new name which more closely reflects our business model and the value of our technology. With the pending issue of our new patent for "recovery of fuel from biomass", new doors will be opening soon for our technology as it makes its mark as a key environmental solution in this time of uncertainty about the cost and supply of energy. Our operations in Asia, particularly Malaysia, are making great strides in proving the value of our KDS Micronex System in preparing palm waste (EFB) for conversion to energy. Results of recent sales and new developments in Malaysia will be announced shortly. With a new name and a new face, we will forge forward toward new successes."

All our subsidiary companies and licensees will still use the "First American" moniker.
